Despite the backing of over 6,000 SBA, the Sky Blues could not break down a poor MK Dons team to make it four games without a win or a goal.
In a game of few chances, Mark Robins’ men had a gilt-edged chance in the second half to claim the three points, but Jordy Hiwula’s penalty attempt was easily saved by MK Dons’ goalkeeper, Lee Nicholls.
With 55% of the possession and 18 shots at goal, it is easy to see where the issues lie for Mark Robins. Only four of those 18 attempts were on target, and quite frankly, despite some good periods of passing and possession, we rarely looked like scoring.
Matty Godden’s injury didn’t help matters, but Hiwula had another poor game, and neither Bakayoko or Biamou looked like scoring.
On a positive note, our defence looked solid and was rarely troubled until the final 10 minutes when sub Ben Reeves smashed thirty yard effort off the bar, and Kieran Agard ran at our defence causing a few nervy moments.
Onto Fleetwood and Peterborough…two games which will seriously test our promotion credentials.
